Self-Guided Route:
Lisbon Craft Beer Walking Tour
4 Stops. 3 Kilometers. 1 Perfect Afternoon.
Let's be honest: Lisbon has hills. Many of them. And while we love burning calories, we prefer to do it lifting a glass rather than hiking up a 45-degree slope.
That's why we designed this self-guided walking tour. It mixes the best views in the city, the most variety of taps, and local vibes. As specialized blogs by like Hustle Around The World or Washington Beer Blog, Lisbon's scene is booming—and this is the best way to see it.
Quick Stats
- Total Distance: 3 km (Mostly flat or downhill)
- Walking Time: 40-45 min (without drinking time!)
- Best Start Time: 16:00 (Catch the sunset at Stop 1)

The Stops
1. 8a Graça
The View 📸
The Vibe: We start high to use gravity in our favor later. Located near the famous Graça viewpoint.
Why here: You can't drink craft beer in Lisbon without a view. 8a Graça offers a curated selection of taps in a small, cozy spot right next to one of the best panoramic views of the castle and river.
2. Cerveja Canil (Baixa)
The Variety 🦁
The Walk: Head down the hill towards the bustling Baixa district.
Why here: With around 30 taps, Canil is a heavyweight. It's the perfect pit-stop to grab some food (their petiscos are great) and try a specific style you've been hunting for.
3. LisPoa
The Brewpub ⚗️
The Walk: A short stroll towards the Intendente/Desterro area.
Why here: LisPoa is a small brewpub with a big heart. The owners are often around, and drinking a beer that was brewed just meters away from your stool is a special experience.
4. Queen Ale
The Walk: You are almost there. The final stretch to your home base.
Why here: We saved the best for last. After walking 3km, this is where you settle in. Show us this map on your phone at the bar.

💰 Is craft beer expensive in Lisbon?
Craft beer is pricier than local lagers, but still fair by European standards. Most pints range from €7 to €10, depending on style, strength, and location.
📍 Best neighborhoods for craft beer?
Skip generic bars near major attractions. Lisbon’s craft beer scene shines in areas like Intendente, Graça, Marvila, Arroios, and parts of Alfama.
🕒 Best time to visit craft beer bars?
Early evenings are relaxed and local-friendly. After 9pm, popular spots get busier, especially on weekends.
⚠️ Avoiding tourist traps
If a bar only serves industrial lagers and generic menus, keep walking. Craft-focused bars usually rotate taps, highlight local breweries, and offer knowledgeable staff.
