We'll be upfront: we run a craft beer bar in Lisbon, so we're not pretending to be completely neutral. But we know these places, we drink at them, and we'd send you to each for different reasons. Here's where we'd actually go for happy hour in Lisbon — including, openly, our own bar.

Canil Baixa
BaixaCanil is one of Lisbon's best-known craft breweries, and their Baixa bar is where most people try their beer. Their happy hour — the Doggy Hour — focuses on their own house beers, served in small pours of about 20cl, and during happy hour some of those pours cost around €1. The small servings are the point: if you want to work through several different beers without spending much, this is the easiest way to do it in this guide. The beer itself is good — if price is your main priority, Canil is the natural pick here.

AnjosA neighbourhood gem in Anjos, Flor de Lúpulo runs their happy hour on Tuesdays only, from 17:30 to 19:00, on a selection of their draft beers — usually two or three of them. Short window, specific day — but if Tuesday works for you and you're in the area, it's a great excuse to pop in.

IntendenteLisPOA is Intendente's neighbourhood brewpub — a small, owner-run space where the beer is brewed on site, and the owner is often the one pouring it. Happy hour runs Monday to Friday and generally features one of the house beers, often the lager or the blonde. The draw here is the brewpub experience itself: you're drinking beer made in the same room you're sitting in — something most bars, ours included, can't offer. It's also about a 7–8 minute walk from Queen Ale.

ArroiosAt Queen Ale, happy hour runs Monday to Friday, 5 to 8 PM — the same offer, every tap, every weekday. You get a 40cl pour of any beer on tap for the normal price of the 30cl size. No selected-beer list, no rotating eligibility, no fine print — just any of the 10 rotating craft taps, full size, at the smaller price. In practice: a 40cl house lager can cost about €4 during happy hour, instead of about €5 at its regular price — reasonable value for a full craft pour this close to the centre, and we won't stretch it further than that.
Behind the deal: the taps rotate often, we're selective about what goes on the menu, and we keep our draft lines clean and our storage cold — the point is that whatever you order arrives in good condition.
We're about a 5-minute walk from Rossio, in Arroios — an easy stop from the historic centre, and a regular after-work hangout for the locals who live and work in the area.

Does happy hour happen on weekends?
At Queen Ale, our happy hour runs Monday to Friday. The other spots in this guide also run theirs on weekdays — Flor de Lúpulo's is Tuesday only. If you're visiting on a weekend, it's worth checking each bar's current schedule before counting on a deal.
Is craft beer expensive in Lisbon?
